- Victim of Appoplexy
Adolf Mitzner, stricken with appoplexy, dies within three hours.
Thursday evening a party of young people walked out to Mr. Henslen's half a mile south of town to a party. When near the house Adolf Mitzner who was one of the party fell down and became insensible at once. Some slight restoratives were applied and as they failed to have effect Dr. Hunte was called. On close examination he pronounced it a serious case of appoplexy and probably a broken blood vessel in the brain. The unfortunate young man only lived a short time and never regained consciousness. He had lived in Truman since the town started being a bar tender in some of the saloons most of the time. He owned an interest in the saloon that was burned last summer, at one time.
Mr. Mitzner was a member of the band and very popular with many of the boys around town. We go to press too early to give any particulars about his funeral.
