Married Wednesday Night at the Episcopal Chapel
Miss Annette Bandow and Mr. Forest Grant were married at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday evening in the chapel of the Episcopal church, Rt. Rev. R. H. Weller officiating. The briede was attended by Miss Jessie Hawn as bridesmaid and the groom's best man was Prof. Nott Flint, professor of English in the Chicago Institute of Pedagogy. The marriage ceremony was performed very simply, without any musical features, the service being confined solely to the ceremony of the Prayer Book. The bridal party was met at the altar by Bishop Well, Mr. Grant and Mr. Flint, and the bride was given away by her mother. The ushers were Russell Walker and Leroy J. N. Murat.
The bride was dressed in white crepe de chine over white taffeta silk with yoke and trimmings of guipure lace. She wore a veil of white tulle and carried white roses. Her only jewelled ornament was a beautiful sun-burst of diamonds and pearls, the gift of the groom. The wedding ring was the same that was used at the marriage of the groom's father and mother. The bridesmaid was dressed in yellow crepe de chine over taffeta of the same color and she carried yellow roses.
After the ceremony the party was driven to the Bandow home, 320 Water street, where a party of about forty-five of the members of the families were entertained at a pleasant wedding reception.
The wedding supper was served at 10 o'clock by Mrs. Frane Crawford, caterer, assisted by Mrs. V. P. Atwell, Mrs. F. L. Dille and Misses Georgina Krembs, Georgiana Boyington, May Fuller, Grace Hamacker and Kate Clements. The parlors and dining room were handsomely decorated with a profusion of rich glossy sprays of holly and mistletoe, relieved with smilax, rose, lillies of the valley and carnations. Mr. and Mrs. Grant were remembered by their friends with many handsome gifts in gold and silver, china, cut-glass and linen and many other beautiful things.
The guests from out of town who attended were Mrs. Emily Radtke and Miss Babette Schmidtell of Milwaukee, Miss Edith Byram of Green Bay and Mr. Nott Flint of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant left on the 2:30 train this morning for Brooklyn, N.Y. where they will be at home to their friends after Feb. 1 at 201 Green avenue.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Ernestine Bandow, one of the old residents of the city, and has always made her home in Stevens Point. She graduated from the High school in 1892 and has ever since, until she resigned a few weeks ago, been engaged as a teacher in the public schools.
Mr. Grant ahs also always called Stevens Point his home, although he has lived here but little during the past ten years. He is the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Grant. He graduated from High school in the class of 1888 and afterward attended the universities of Lake Forest and Chicago and the Chicago Art Institute. He also taught the eighth grade here for two years, resigning two years ago to continue his studies in art at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, where he is still a student.
Both of the young people have a wide circle of friends here, who hold them in the highest esteem in every way, and who will be pleased to extend their best wishes for their future prosperity and happiness.
